LCCT holds 3 Assemblies each year for members and friends to meet, share experiences, learn together and from each other, as well as having some time for members to discuss and make decisions together. Usually involves eating as well!
This time we will be focussing on the following:
1. Food first!
2. Are you ready for GDPR?? (for what? I hear you say...)
How do we all get ready for the new Data Protection Regs (GDPR) coming into force in May?
What does 'specific consent' mean? If a person exercises their 'right to be forgotten' how do we erase their information? Do you have parent consent for children you are working with? Do you record how information is processed and keep a track?
This might sound 'boring' but it will be law and we can get fined for breaches, and it is about respecting people and information about them as belonging to the people themselves.
3. New Project application - Beeston Holy Spirit Church Project
Ed Carlisle will talk to us about his project for utilising the Holy Spirit church building in Beeston.
4. Focus on projects - small group discussion with trustees.
Trustees love to hear about what is happening in your project, and we can all learn from and support each other, so we are making some time for small group discussion where 2 or 3 project reps will be in a group with an LCCT trustee. You will have chance to share about what your project does and the current highlights and challenges/plans for the future for about 5 or 10 minutes, followed by discussion in the group on what you might need to help you move forward.
4. Prayer time in the same Groups as above (for those who wish to stay and take part)
As it is the time of Lent and we will be in the middle of the LENT PRAYER DIARY period, we will take some time to pray for each other and our projects. This will follow on naturally from the group discussion - everyone is welcome to stay for this but don't feel obliged to stay if you are not so comfortable with group prayer.
PLEASE DO REGISTER TO ATTEND (Click on REGISTER NOW button) - we really need to know who is coming in order to arrange the discussion groups and order the food! THANK YOU!
